About Robert Leonard Ferguson:
Lived in Troup, Gladewater, and Mineola, Texas during early years. Met his wife to be in Mineola
about 1915-1916 while working for his uncle Will Runnells in his grocery store. Went to Kansas City
to auto mechanics school. Employed as mechanic by Magnolia Petroleum Co. in Dallas about 1920. Was
released due to cut backs during the depression but re-employed about 1925 by Magnolia with continuous
employment until time of death (27 Aug. 1946). Between service with Magnolia, was employed by Rose-Wilson
in Dallas. He was a Methodist Mason.
