About William Warriner Keep:

"REV. WILLIAM WARRINER KEEP6 (Samuel5, Lt. Jonathan4, Jabez3, Samuel2, John1), born at Brattleboro, Vt., July 22, 1812. He was a Baptist minister and for a time was in New York City, where he married his first wife. He was pastor of a Baptist church at Quincy, Ill., and then removed to Lake City, Florida. About 1872 he went to Huntsville, Texas, where he was pastor of the Baptist church and Chaplain of the State penitentiary. He died at Huntsville, August 5, 1880. He married (1st) in New York City, Mary Eliza Orchard, daughter of Rev. Isaac Orchard, a Presbyterian minister. She was born at Bath, England, in 1810, and died in 1869. His second wife, Mrs. Sue E. Keep, is now proprietress of Keep's Hotel at Huntsville, Texas."
